58th Hawai’i State Science & Engineering Fair Special Awards Ceremony- March 24, 2015 – Marion Yuen, Student Scholarships

ACUW awarded two Senior Research Division and two Junior Research Division students each $200, ACUW Certificate and lei for their outstanding projects at the 58th Hawai’i State Science & Engineering Fair (HSSEF). The Awardees were recognized on March 24, 2015 at the Special Awards Ceremony at the Hawai’i Convention Center.

Senior Research Division Awardees:

Krista J. Chang, Title: The Effectiveness of Using Various Materials in the Production of Bio-Plastics, Grade 10, St. Andrew’s Priory, Teacher – Mr. Jay Hamura

Yu-Ann Ashley Chen, Title: Authors’ Fingerprint (Part Two): The Classification of Psychological Traits, Grade 12, Hilo High School, Teacher – Dr. Pascale Cr Pinner

Junior Research Division Awardees:

Eui Jin May Song, Title: An Antioxidant a Day Keeps the Browning Away, Grade 7, Niu Valley Middle School, Teacher - Louise Hiatt

Tryphena Sarah Hsu, Title: Of Iron and Phytoplankton, Grade 7, Niu Valley Middle School, Teacher – Louise Hiatt

ACUW Judges Clara Y. Ching, Ph.D., and Joanne Ebesu, Ph.D., presented each awardee with $200, ACUW Certificate and lei at the HSSEF Special Awards Ceremony on March 24, 2015.
