56th Hawai‘i State Science & Engineering Fair – Marion Yuen, Student Scholarship

ACUW awarded two Senior Research Division and two Junior Research Division students each $200, ACUW Certificate and lei for their outstanding projects at the 56th Hawai’i State Science & Engineering Fair. The Awardees were recognized on April 9, 2013 at the Awards Ceremony at the Hawai’i Convention Center.

Senior Division Awardees:

Jennifer M. Wong, Title: Disposition of Novel Catalysts on Photovoltaic Materials for Artificial Photosynthesis: The Case of Ruthenium and Tungsten on Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Efficiency. Grade 12, Kapolei High School, Teachers-Stacie Inouye/ Dr. Nicola Gaillard

Tina T.Y. Li, Title: The Effects of Angles on Knee Tension. Grade 12, McKinley High School, Teacher-Jossefin Rasay

Junior Division Awardees:

Katelyn L. Lee, Title: Plants versus Bacteria. Grade 7, Waiakea Intermediate School, Teacher-Steven Zeiher

Krista J. Chang, Title: Comparing the Cost Effectiveness of Solar Energy and Wind Energy. Grade 8, St. Andrew’s Priory, Teacher-Jay Hamura
