2015 Family Luau – Sandi Shiroma, Committee chair

posted Dec 12, 2015, 12:14 PM by Acuw Hawaii

On Saturday, March 28, a luau for the 2015 ACUW Family Event was held at Harris United Methodist Church from 11:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon. 128 members and their families attended.

Delicious Hawaiian food was catered by Pat's Piggery in Waianae. Second, third, and even fourth servings were not uncommon. And the dessert table groaned under the weight of all the goodies donated by generous members.

Entertainment consisted of dancing, singing and fun games. A lovely Chinese dance was performed by our own ACUW members Gywned Lum, Kimberly Hoi, Beverly Taira, led by Angela Chang. Emcee Jonathan Hughes led the Bingo and Scavenger Hunts, and a Sing Along was conducted by Randy Jay and Katie Tamashiro.

Lots of prizes were distributed; thanks to all the donations brought in by ACUW members.

The luau committee (Sandi Shiroma, Jerilyn Jeffryes, Susan Lee, and Shari Lee-Huntoon) would like to thank all the generous donors who helped us make this luau a huge success --- one with ono food, great prizes, and lots of fun.
