ACUW will present its major educational program of Chinese cultural activities and performances at the Honolulu Museum of Art, on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  ACUW is collaborating with the museum in presenting this Family Sunday event to usher in the Chinese New Year of the Sheep; the Bank of Hawaii is a co-sponsor.  The event is open to the public and is free.  Member support would be greatly appreciated as we share our Chinese heritage.  It is not too late to volunteer your help: please contact Lois Mui, ACUW event coordinator at 941-4789 or email or co-coordinator Gwyned Lum, 595-6066 or email

Activities planned include: Narcissus Culture, display and demonstration; Chinese Delicacies, featuring recipes from ACUW Family Favorites Cookbook; Chinese paper crafts, both folding and cutting; Chinese Calligraphy; Mah Jong; and zodiac animals.  Musical performances will feature the Guang Zhong Ensemble.  Traditional Chinese dances will be performed in spectacular costumes by the Hawaii Rainbow Dance Troupe, ACUW Dancers and the acclaimed Phoenix Dance Chamber.  There will also be the spirited Lion dances and tai chi, kung fu and other martial arts demonstrations.

Bring your family and friends for a day of fun.  We look forward to seeing you at Family Sunday!
